ODC
I served as Architecte-Gérante and Chef de missionon the Orange Digital Center project in Soarano. The project objective was to deliver a complete architectural and technical response for the fit-out of Orange Madagascar’s premises within the Tour Ankorondrano, ensuring that design and execution aligned with the client’s program, constraints, and implementation standards.
My role combined architectural leadership with project delivery oversight. I was responsible for coordinating the study phase, translating the client’s program into actionable design documents, and supporting the transition into the maîtrise d’œuvre phase. In practical terms, this included preparing architectural and technical studies, validating design solutions, and managing the flow of information needed to keep the project aligned with scope, schedule, and contractual requirements.
During the execution phase, I coordinated the mission across stakeholders, monitored the works, and ensured that site progress remained consistent with the approved documents and contractual obligations. I also contributed to the organization of the chantier through the project’s planning and coordination requirements, including the follow-up of technical issues, contractor interfaces, and implementation decisions. The contract specifically defines the architect’s responsibility for site supervision, verification of compliance with market documents and standards, and coordination of the chantier.
The outcome of the project was the successful delivery of the architectural services for the Orange Digital Center / Tour Ankorondrano fit-out, with the client confirming satisfaction with the work performed by TRANO Architecture. The assignment resulted in implementation-ready documentation, coordinated execution support, and a controlled handover process consistent with the contract framework.
Project Context and Scope
This engagement was structured as a two-phase assignment: architectural studies followed by maîtrise d’œuvre for works supervision, in line with the contract’s provisions for study and follow-up missions. The scope centered on the aménagement of office premises within the Tour Ankorondrano, requiring a coordinated response that balanced client needs, technical feasibility, and delivery constraints. It also involved structured communication with the client and contractor teams to maintain continuity from design through implementation.
Leadership and Coordination
The role required leading the mission as the main architectural point of accountability, while coordinating the work of the project team and maintaining alignment with the client’s program and contract obligations. This included organizing technical follow-up, managing the transition between design and execution, and ensuring that the project remained on track in terms of scope, quality, and delivery expectations. The supervision function also required monitoring conformity with the contractual documents and supporting resolution of site-level issues as they arose.
Professional Contribution
This assignment demonstrated the ability to manage an architectural project from study through execution within a formal contractual framework. It strengthened experience in project coordination, scope control, site supervision, and delivery management, while contributing to a successful outcome for a client-side office development project.
